I have known of a number of Builders that have moved around from one program to another. I am optimistic that major advancements will continue to come in a very well thought out expedient way.
Since Constellation has taken over Buildsoft they have made significant refinements and advancements. Constellation, the current owners, seems to be very dedicated to the continued development of this very well conceived program and making it a market leader which I think it can be. I was a beta tester to Homesphere’s attempts. Homesphere, the company that previously owned Buildsoft, made some attempts to move Buildsoft forward but for some reason they accomplished very little. I have not seen anything, for the price, which I feel will more thoroughly satisfy my needs than Buildsoft.
#Buildsoft versions trial
The first program I bought was by BMS, now defunct and I fortunately got out of it within the trial period, another which I followed closely was called Cambridge, as best I can recall, developed by Pulte Homes-who could do it better- but it seemed to have a short life. There have been others which I have followed over time that have now come and gone with names I no longer remember. I have tried to keep reasonably familiar with everything similar such as Master Builder, Tom, CDCI, Comet, CSG, CHS etc. I have been using Buildsoft since 1993 and have found nothing better.
